Space Trucker Bruce – Episode 004

This week we talk about one of the most delightful finds in the caverns of Amazon Prime Video, Space Trucker Bruce. A magnificent example of B-movie excellence written and directed by Anton Doiron. We just can’t say enough about how terrific this movie is, and it shows with another long episode. Where money could not save The Room, the lack of money did nothing to diminish Space Trucker Bruce. Pull up a chair, stretch out, and let us take you on this spectacular truck drive through the stars. Also, make sure you check out the following links. Seriously. Do yourself the favor!

The Room – Episode 003

In this episode of the podcast we take on what we consider the zenith of B-movies, The Room. A film written and directed by Tommy Wiseau, shot with his friend Greg Sestero, who went on to write the book The Disaster Artist. That book was made into a movie with James Franco playing Tommy. This episode is long, there is so much we get into. We love and admire Tommy’s passion for making this movie. We also talk about Stage32.com once again because as a creative you need to check them out and get in touch with your tribe.

WolfCop – Episode 002

This week we’re talking about one of our favorite B films, WolfCop. This more than earnest effort is a wonderful addition to werewolf mythology. Written and directed by Lowell Dean, and shot in Regina, Saskatchewan, WolfCop has what we believe to be a first in werewolf transformations. Afterwards we discuss how Lowell made some excellent choices with his budget, and the importance of getting the best talent you can find for your project.

Bad Taste – Episode 001

Our inaugural episode! We review the film Bad Taste, by Peter Jackson of Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit fame. It’s a terrific B-movie from early on in his career. Afterwards we talk about how his limited budget was used in the most important areas of the film, and how his direction showed his budding skills and made the film watchable. We also talk about Stage 32, a fantastic free website community that every creative should join.
